Instrumed was founded in 1985 by Berndt and Kurt Fetzer and became an Avalign Technologies company in January of 2007. Instrumed is headquartered in Schaumburg, Illinois and has a European Manufacturing & Logistics Center in Tuttlingen, Germany.
